The funeral for the three Wunnumin Lake First Nation members who perished in a tragic house fire in the community is being held on May 16.
The community continues to mourn the deaths.
Roxanne Nothing, 21, Kaylene “Banny” Nothing, 6, and Rebecca “Blaze” Sainnawap, 1, died on May 8.
Lucas and Ida Nothing are the parents of Roxanne and grandparents of Kaylene and Rebecca.
John and the late Rebecca Sainnawap of Wunnumin Lake are grandparents of Roxanne and great grandparents to Kaylene and Rebecca. Buddy and Cecelia Cromarty are also the grandparents of Kaylene and Rebecca, and Nelie and the late Moses Nothing of Wapekeka are also grandparents and great grandparents of the three deceased.
The remains of the deceased were returned to Wunnumin on May 15. A memorial service was held that evening, and funeral services started at 1:00pm on May 16.
