Members of the Treaty Three Police Service Street Crime Unit and Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit executed a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant on a local residence in the Grassy Narrows First Nation on December 18, 2015.
As a result of the search, a quantity of Cannabis Marijuana was seized including cash and evidence to support the trafficking of a controlled substance. Charges are pending against (3) adult males and (1) adult female, all are known residents of the Grassy Narrows First Nation.
Treaty Three Police Service laid a total of (8) charges, including: Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Marihuana 5(2) CDSA, Possession of Proceeds obtained by Crime. Section 354(1 )(a) C.C. Possession of Marihuana, Section 4(1) GOSA and Breach of Probation, Section 354(1 )(a) C.C.
