Community Connector – Moose Factory Job #4261
Within Community Health and Wellness and Indigenous Relations, and under the direction of the Senior Manager & the Indigenous Community Health and Wellness Leads, the Community Connector is responsible to implement community engagement activities, develop relationships based on trust and mutual respect, connect communities to needed supports and services, and support the building of safe communities.
This role will be responsible for Community Engagement and Relationship Building, Promoting and Supporting Risk Reduction activities, Volunteer management and providing administrative support.
You will bring to the role a post-secondary education in a related field plus three years of job-related experience working in Indigenous Communities or an equivalent combination of education and experience, proficiency in MS Office. Bilingual English / Cree is an asset!
You must be able to travel extensively to remote communities as well as work non-traditional hours. You will possess the skills to working in highly emotional and stressful situations. A valid Ontario driver’s license is required.

You will bring to the role a specialized post secondary education, RN or RPN and between 3-6 years of job related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual English/Cree is required.

Within the community health and wellness department, and under the direction of the Care Coordinator, the Personal Support Worker is responsible to provide care and support to seniors allowing them to stay independent in their homes.
You will bring to the role certification as a Personal Support Worker or Development Service Workers. The successful candidate for this position must be available to work a flexible work period, occasional requirement to work overtime hours including evenings and weekends, often with short notice.
