Graduating with a work orientation

Graduation congrats go out to seven Lac Seul students of the Work Orientation Workshop (WOW) who had their grad ceremonies at the Sunset Inn in Sioux Lookout June 21.

Recreation given a boost up north

Some lucky northern' kids will have plenty to do this summer. The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM) has funded a pilot project to run summer recreation programs on six reserves.

Hotel project for Kingfisher

Kingfisher's new Omahamo Hotel Complex was not even officially open last month, yet it was full to capacity. A year in the construction stage and still needing some major work, the twostory building was comfortable enough for a troupe of firefighters to claim as their residence.
